This Friday is the opening of "Piecing it Together", a show featuring several collage artists including Glenn Fischer, who I posted on my blog a few years back. I have included some of his new works. Other artists include Natalya Aikens, Michael Albert, Rima Grad, Bryan Michael Greene, Mary Ann Lomonaco, Luis Perelman, and Jill Parry.

Collage is an obsessive art form with as much emphasis on process as on finished product. Piecing it Together is an exhibition of works by 8 Westchester artists who exemplify the range of this quintessential modernist medium in the 21st century. Their pieced-together artworks challenge the expected and the everyday.

I am part of an on going art project through Galeries Bartoux located in France. My art was wrapped around the egg cable cars that bring the skiers and snowboarders to the top of the mountain. I am included with some amazing artist such as Speed Graphito, Mr Brainwash, Julien Marinetti, Lirone, and many others.

The video was created by Andrew Wood, a professor at San Jose State University and a longtime roadie. He owns the Motel Americana website, and published “City Ubiquitous,” in which Route 66 played a prominent role. Ron Warnick review of his book is here.

Richard Hamilton, a British painter and printmaker whose sly, trenchant take on consumer culture and advertising made him a pioneering figure in Pop Art, and who designed the cover of the Beatles’ “White Album,” died on Tuesday at his home near Oxford. He was 89.
