"Snap, Crackle, Pop!" collaboration art show opening.

After months of shipping art back and forth, studio visits, and layering of paint the time has arrived to unveil our efforts to the world. Jeff Schaller organized the whole thing and invited myself and Melody Postma to participate. Each artist would start 2 artworks and then send one to each of the other artists. After they added their touch they would send back to the original artists to complete. As you can see, we had a great time and all work very well with each other. In total we made 6 paintings on panel size 36" x 36" and 4 Paintings on paper which included all three artists on each.

"Snap, Crackle, Pop!" opens Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 2-4PM at the Wallingford Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA. The show will hang until June 18, 2010 so there is plenty of time to get there and see the art.

Pop Art Show Jeff Schaller Images.

Jeff and I have worked on art collaborations and studio visits in the past as well as showing together at several galleries. It was only fitting that we be in this show together. Jeff has also known Peter Mars and worked with him on collaborations in the past.

Jeffs' main medium is encaustic but he has the magic touch with whatever medium he decides to use.
His work uses type Here are a few recent images of his work and look out for more information on the upcoming Snap,Crackle, Pop! show featuring Jeff, Melody Postma, and myself.

In his own words:

"I paint in the unique medium of encaustic, creating textural art pieces which incorporate representational form with the printed word. In essence, the visual and written symbols merge to create a unique aesthetic language that is both provocative and whimsical."

You can see more of Jeffs' work here and here.

Jeff Schaller solo show at Galerie I.D.,Geneva, Switzerland.

Jeff Schaller has a solo show opening at Galerie I.D.in Geneva, Switzerland. The opening reception will be held on October 1, 2009 from 7-10PM and Jeff will be present.

Jeff's new work further expands on his themes of alcohol, women and typography. I am always amazed at how well he can render and blend skin tones with encaustic and these pieces are exceptional examples of his technique.
