My friend, Marco, introduced me to the work of C.J. Collins. Collins is a New York based artist and her work is absolutely stunning. The work involves minimal materials, Kraft paper and vinyl, to create beautiful abstract compositions that evoke many emotions.
At times Collins work has inspiration from the chaotic linework of Basquiat, the energy of Stuart Davis, and the compositional quality of Jean Dubuffet but it has a contemporary feel that grounds it within todays modern art world.
You can see more of her work here.
