Gala Event. ARTrageous Benefit Auction Donation.

I have donated one of my found art reappropriated sculptures for the upcoming ARTrageous auction to be held this Monday, June 4, 2012 at Cipriani Wall Street. The live auction will be conducted by Phillips de Pury & Company.

ARTrageous is a unique fundraising event benefiting foster children through art. Kids residing in foster care and a kids committee collaborate with a dynamic group of artists to help create artwork for auction. The artwork created, along with donated works of art and luxury items will be sold in a silent and live auction at the ARTrageous Gala Dinner + Art Auction.

 The money raised through ARTrageous benefits Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families (EGSCF). For more than 85 years, this non-profit organization has been serving and protecting children residing in foster care in New York City. Your generous contribution will support many programs and services EGSCF provides. Over the past decade ARTrageous has been a huge success, raising more than $15 million! Today EGSCF is one of the top Foster Care Agencies in New York City.

Artwork donation for HeArt Project LA fund raiser.

Every year I donate artwork to HeArt Projects in Los Angeles for their Annual Evening of Art fundraiser. This years event is being held on Thursday, May 28 at 6:30pm at The Park Plaza Hotel 607 South Park View Street in Los Angeles.

The HeArt Project is a great non-profit organization that raises money for high school art programs for alternative schools. They offers four levels of advanced arts programs to students. Students are provided with support to succeed at each level. The levels deal with art workshops and public presentations, after school residencies and leadership, scholarships and alumni support.

My piece this year is titled "OK RV" and is 24" x 20" and is mixed media on panel. If you are interested in placing a silent bid you can contact them here.
