Robert Fontaine art opening.

Robert Fontaine, owner of Art Modern Gallery, is having a solo show opening of his artwork. The show will be held at the Captiva Foundation Exhibition Hall and is titled "A word speaks a thousand pictures". The artist reception will take place on April 9, 2010 from 6-8PM. Robert Rauschenberg "Man at work" documentary.

One of the most important American artists of the twentieth century, since the mid-1950's Rauschenberg has continued to pioneer new approaches to an extraordinarily diverse range of media. The many aspects of his prolific creativity are explored in this film, which draws on the ideal resource of a major retrospective of his work at the Guggenheim Museum, New York. At his studio on the island of Captiva, Rauschenberg gives a relaxed and candid interview and is seen at work.

Art Modern Gallery Island Contemporary art opening March 21, 2009.

I will be in a group show represented by Art Modern Gallery which will be held on Captiva Island, Florida. The opening will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 6-8PM at the Captiva Civic Center Hall. A portion of the sales will benefit the CCA Foundation.

Other artists in the show include Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, James Rosenquist and Stella Farwell.
