I will be participating in an art show opening this Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6-9PM at the University of Oregon White Box Gallery located at 24 NW First Avenue. The show is titled "What If" and is in conjunction with the Ted x PDX event. The show will hang at White Box until April 24th and then it will travel on to the Portland Art Museum.

Art Opening. Year Of The Dragon. Compound Gallery, Portland, OR.

I will be included in a show honoring the life and career of Bruce Lee. The show will be at Compound Gallery in Portland, Oregon (who gave me my first show back in 2003). The show is titled "Year of the Dragon" and will include work from such talented artists as Ren Sakurai, Rob-O, Tetsuya Toshima, Patrick Fong and many others. I will have one piece in the show which is pictured below.

This is a fund-raising event for the Bruce Lee Foundation in support of building the Bruce Lee Museum in Seattle. Bruce Lee's Widow, Linda Lee Cadwell will be attending the Opening Reception. The reception will be held on April 5, 2012 at 7PM at Compound Gallery 107 NW 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97209.

Go See This. Ashley Anson Solo Show Art Opening.

It's going to be a busy week for art openings in Portland, Oregon! Ashley Anson has a solo show opening at Commonwealth. Ashleys work is a mix of paint and stitches which has a great dark edge to it! The artist reception will be held on June 3, 2011 from 6-9PM. If you are in the area go check it out. Commonwealth is located at 1425 SE 20th Ave and, if you didn't know, is the new indoor concrete skatepark!

Go See This. "We're All Friends Here...Right?" Photo Show.

If you are in Portland this week you should attend the opening of a photo show which will be held at Powells City of Books. The show will include some very talented photographers and skateboard legends including Ray Barbee, Molly Quan, Greg Hunt, Tobin Yelland, Thomas Campbell, Jon Humphries, and many more.

Opening reception will be June 2, 2011 from 6-9PM.

R.I.P. Department of Skateboarding, Portland, OR.

A sad day for Portland. After 8 1/2 years the Department of Skateboarding is closing its doors.

For those of you in the area don't miss the last day as it should be a good time for all.

Klutch art opening in Portland, OR.

Klutch is currently showing his work in Portland, Oregon at Someone Gallery. The opening was last Friday where they raffled off a mural painted by Klutch and Jessamyn.

If you are in the Portland area get over and check out the show. It runs through this month.

Horse feathers "Cascades" 7".

Horse feathers is an amazing band from Portland, Oregon fronted by Justin Ringle. They currently have two records out: "Words are dead" and "House with no home". They are both solid records from start to finish but I am drawn more to "House with no home" because of its orchestration and deeper concentration on multiple instruments to achieve its sound.

They have also just released a new 7" entitled "Cascades" which furthers the sounds of "House with no home".
